Ripe red tomatoes (how many you need depends on how many you are serving for).
A good rule of thumb is 1 large tomato per person.
Fresh mozzarella cheese (you need the same amount of cheese as tomatoes, so just eyeball this one at the store).
Fresh basil leaves (enough so each bite gets a basil leave)
optional: a drizzle of olive oil and balsamic
Slice the tomatoes in 1/4-1/2 inch slices.
Slice the mozzarella in equally thick slices as the tomatoes.
Pick the basil leaves from the stem.
Arrange them as such: Tomato, then basil leaf, then mozzarella.
Repeat until ingredients are used up.
Sprinkle with sea salt.
Drizzle with olive oil and balsamic if using.
